The concept for this belt buckle came from the customer.
These preliminary sketches were prepared to give an quick idea of how the belt buckle could look. The client was quite particular and was asked to provide an image of exactly what they wanted.
The client found an image on google and sent it to me so that we could use it to style the face on the model exactly matching the image.
Once the client had been able to specify more closely what they wanted new sketches were produced and the model went through several stages of adjustment building in more complexity and detail.
The finished buckle was then sent away to be produced. it was 3D printed in stainless steel using a technique called sintering.
